It's that time again for the University of Regina Graduate Students' Association (URGSA) General Elections.
We are now accepting nominations for the 2026-27 URGSA Executive and Council committee.
The positions that are open for nomination include:

Council committee positions (only students of the corresponding faculty are eligible to apply):

We welcome you to get involved in the URGSA by becoming a part of the Executive or Council and helping to serve graduate students all year long. To apply, please send a nomination package to cro@ureginagsa.com by Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Please read the instructions in the Nomination Package carefully before submitting your nomination.
Campaigning will run from Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. to Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Important: Voter Registration
To ensure the integrity of the voting process, all graduate students who wish to vote in this election must pre-register to have their eligibility confirmed with the FGSR prior to voting. Registration will be open from [START DATE] to [END DATE]. To register, please [registration instructions/link]. Only students who have registered and been confirmed as eligible members of the URGSA will be able to access a ballot — so please register early to avoid missing your chance to vote.
Voting
Voting will take place via the election portal link between Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and Friday, August 14, 2026, at 9:00 p.m.
The 2026-27 term will commence on [TERM START] and end on [TERM END]. The positions of Graduate Student Executive and Council member are mainly voluntary, but a small honorarium will be paid for your time and effort spent on URGSA's activities and planning.
The URGSA has appointed [CRO NAME], former [PRIOR ROLE/TERM], as Chief Returning Officer (CRO). As CRO, [First Name] will help ensure that the election process is fair and that any disputes or conflicts are resolved appropriately.
