The top competitors from the heats will be invited to present their 3MT speeches to a panel of judges, their fellow graduate students, and the general public.
The event will be held in RIC 119, with a reception to follow in the RIC atrium.
Presenting research is always a great opportunity for personal and professional development. To this end, the URGSA Execs have organized the Fall 2017 Poster Competition on November 6th 2017. This event will allow students who submit abstracts, to prepare and present their research in a visual format. All students will be evaluated, and this feedback will assist them in preparing for future postercompetitions. If you are new to conferences, poster presentations are a great first step as viewers will walk around reading all the different posters, and ask the presenters questions about the poster.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research is excited to announce an upcoming session on How to Write a Good Thesis on Friday May 27 at 7 PM in the RIC Theatre (RIC 119).
Brandon Baerwald, a PhD candidate in the Department of Biology will be giving a presentation on the journey of thesis writing. He will be providing tips and recommendations on how to strengthen your writing/research skills.
Following his presentation, there will be a social event to connect with other graduate students!
The University of Regina FGSR is hosting a Thesis Writing Weekend Retreat from Friday May 27 - Sunday May 29. This retreat will give students the ability to focus on developing and finishing their thesis. For students from out of town, there is the option to stay on campus as well! The cost is FREE however if you are a no-show, you will be charged $100.
