It's finally here.
The biggest GSA event of the year.
It's time for 3MT!
Thank you to everyone for your patience as we finalized all the details for this year's event. Here's what you need to know:
WHO? Any graduate student with a research project, no matter the stage of your research. Even if you're just starting out, we'd love to have you compete!
WHAT? The 3MT competition is held in universities around the world. Participants are challenged with the task of condensing their research into a three-minute speech. For those who have never participated in a 3MT before, it’s a great opportunity to come up with an “elevator pitch” on your research. For more information click here…
WHEN/WHERE? Heats are only open to competitors. Please only sign up for one of the heats as there are a limited number of spots available. Winners from each heat will be invited to compete in the finals, which are open to the public; so, come learn about all the incredible research being conducted by your fellow U of R graduate students! Please note - this year's finals will not be televised on Access Communications.
Heat 1: February 24th from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM in ED 312 - sign up at https://uregina.libcal.com/event/3491092
Heat 2: February 25th from 7:00 PM -9:00 PM in CW 113 - sign up at https://uregina.libcal.com/event/3491094
Finals: March 18th from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM in RIC 119
WHY? Prizes, prizes, prizes! There are $3,500 in scholarships available to be won, including $1,500 for first place and a $500 people's choice award. The first-place winner has the opportunity to represent the U of R at the Western Regional Competition (travel, lodging, and registration expenses paid). Participants will also receive a small prize just for competing in the heats.
