PRESIDENT: Prakashsamy Ramu
I am currently pursuing my Master’s in applied science in the Process System Engineering stream. During my undergraduate days I had been even coordinator for events such as science expo. I am a social enthusiast and fond of working as a group. Also, a bibliophilic, sports maniac and fond of playing instruments. As an astute scholar I can assess the situation correctly and take decisions according to that. If selected as President I will make sure to establish a better academic standard for the graduate students with transparency and justice. I will work towards the progress of the graduate student’s life in the university and to create a better relationship between the faculty and scholars.
VP ACADEMIC AFFAIRS: Balaji Udayappan
I am currently pursuing my Master’s in applied science in Process Systems Engineering. Prior to my graduate studies, I worked as a Project Engineer in Cathodic Protection Industry for a period of 3 years. I am an active volunteer in sports club and open door society. Adding to that, I am an avid reader and also a cricket enthusiastic.My priorities if elected as VP-Academic Affairs would be focusing on the enhancement of current academic standards. I expect to work for the betterment of faculty-student interaction within the university and also to create an exciting academic life for graduate students.
VP EXTERNAL RELATIONS: Jaimin Patel
I am currently pursuing my Masters of Applied Science in Industrial System Engineering at University of Regina. I did my undergrad in Mechanical Engineering from Vadodara Institute of Engineering, India. During my bachelors I had taken the role of the Student Representative where I have initiated and volunteered for various events for the different student clubs and many non-technical events. As being the student of U of R I have also actively took part in various volunteer services and my research focuses on value added products from recycling of plastics which would contribute for the betterment of the society. Through VP External Relation I can sharpen my skill and other qualities also I would contribute myself for the graduate student community.
VP FINANCE: Shrinath Manoharan
Currently I am pursuing my Masters of Applied Science in Industrial System Engineering at University of Regina. I have an Undergraduate degree of Mechanical Engineering from GRIET, India. My interest lies in the implementation of the new innovative ideas for to make the society a better place. I have been actively volunteering a lot of events in the University of Regina Student Ambassador program and also the off-campus events. I have been recently elected as Vice President of UofRobotics Club CAD division where I take care of the drafting, designing and prototyping of the university robot and our main goal of the club is to create autonomous industrial robot used for the cleaning of the university which will save a lot of time and effort for the people volunteering for keeping the campus clean. During my undergrad I have been a member for student association in finance where I took the responsibility of the administration and financing the budget for the various clubs and other activities. Taking the responsibility of Vice President Finance in URGSA would help me achieve my goals and improve my various skills.
VP STUDENT LIFE: Kishore Bommavaram
I am currently pursuing my Masters of Applied Science in Process System Engineering at University of Regina. I did my bachelors in Chemical Engineering from Amity University, India. I have done research on wastewater treatment. I have been elected as an Executive of Council in URSU from Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science where I advocate students for various issues which would relate to the tuition fees and courses. I have also been a member for student association in student affairs during my undergraduate where I took the role of the student advocate helping them with the technical and non-technical matter and taking initiatives. I have volunteered for various activities on campus and off campus. I believe my experience would bring the best for the VP Student Life and actively take part in betterment of the GSA.
