PRESIDENT

Kishore Bommavaram

I am currently pursuing MASc in Process System Engineering at the University of Regina. I did my bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from Amity University, India. I did my research in wastewater treatment during my undergraduate and continuing my research in wastewater treatment in masters also. I have been elected as an Executive of Council in URSU from the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, where I advocate students for various issues that would relate to the tuition fees and courses. I have also been elected as VP-student life in GSA, where I supported student issues such as the additional administrative fee for Co-op students. I believe my experience would bring the best for the President and actively take part in the betterment of the GSA.

VP EXTERNAL RELATIONS

Jaimin Patel

I am currently pursuing my Masters of Applied Science in Industrial System Engineering at University of Regina. I did my undergrad in Mechanical Engineering from Vadodara Institute of Engineering, India. During my bachelors I had taken the role of the Student Representative where I have initiated and volunteered for various events for the different student clubs and many non-technical events. As being the student of U of R I have also actively took part in various volunteer services and my research focuses on value added products from recycling of plastics which would contribute for the betterment of the society. Currently, I am a vicepresident External Relations of Graduate Student Association and I have performed various duties like Promoting URGSA and graduate student activities, Maintaining and updating the URGSA’s online platform (website and social media), Communicating with Executive, Council, and general membership regarding issues relevant to the URGSA and graduate student, Conducting campaigns that are of interest to graduate students on a local, provincial, national, or International level and Acting as Recording Secretary for Executive meetings, Council meetings, and General Meetings. I would like to carry forward this position for next term with same enthusiasm and dedications and continue my contribution towards graduate student society. I believe that my experience of this term would bring the best for the VP External Affairs and betterment of URGSA activities.

VP ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

Mrigank Kumar

“Doing is a quantum leap from imagining”. I am currently pursuing Masters of engineering in Industrial and systems engineering UoR. From the very beginning of my undergraduate days I have been an active member of society, I have also served and renowned many clubs with my ideas and vision, I have been both actively and passively serving NGO Sakshar Rejuvenating Education for past 2 years. Back in my undergraduate days I have also served as a Treasurer for engineering student association managing finance for best and efficient conduct various events and mentored fellow colleague along the way. Also I’m sports maniac, book worm and social insect. Representing my former college soccer team brought sense of leadership and discipline in me these has further bolstered my devotion in un riddle the challenges faced in student committee. I’m running for Vice president-academic affairs. Through this position I will catalyze the problem addressing and solving process, and also create thriving environment of student and faculty interaction and through my experience I will also enhance the academic life of every university student.

Shrinath Manoharan

Currently I am pursuing my Masters of Applied Science in Industrial System Engineering at University of Regina. I have an Undergraduate degree of Mechanical Engineering from GRIET, India. My interest lies in the implementation of the new innovative ideas for to make the society a better place. I have been actively volunteering a lot of events in the University of Regina Student Ambassador program and also the off-campus events. Presently I am the Vice President Finance for the Graduate Student Association in University of Regina where I have prepared a financial records for the meetings and organized and funded various events on behalf of GSA. Taking the responsibility of Vice President Finance in URGSA had helped me improve my various skills. I would like to take up a new responsibility of Vice President Student Life for GSA and be the voice for various students in UofR.

“CHANGE” is necessary and this time we will bring the change for better. My name is JAYVEER CHAVDA, I am perusing Master’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering. I am currently working on my research and I completed under graduate degree back in INDIA. After my bachelor’s degree I worked in Industry where I have been through important financial decisions for the organisation and that is the very reason why I am applying for “Vice President – Finance” position.
